Joined by some of the most exciting singers of our time, the Raleigh Civic Symphony journeys through an ancient world of passion, suffering and heroism. Through portraits of women who shaped their time and still move us today, the concert explores a dramatic, operatic view of human nature and the universality of love and tragedy. The concert culminates in Respighi’s glorious music from The Pines of Rome, one of the most triumphant conclusions to a piece of music ever composed.
